Booking & cancellation
How do I book musical tickets? +
On the page for your show, which you find on the home page. Choose the date, performance and seat there. You book and pay with Headout.
Can I cancel or change my tickets? +
No. The musical tickets cannot be cancelled or changed. Check the date, time and seats before you pay.
Do I need to print my ticket? +
No. Your voucher arrives by email and you do not need to print it. Bring a valid photo ID to the theatre.
Who do I contact about my booking? +
Headout, where you booked. Their customer service helps with questions about your voucher and your booking.
Theatres & getting there
Where are the musicals on? +
In three Stage Entertainment theatres: The Lion King at the Stage Theater im Hafen, MJ at the Stage Theater an der Elbe and Back to the Future at the Stage Operettenhaus in St. Pauli. Addresses and directions under Plan your visit.
How do I get to the harbour theatres? +
By the free musical shuttle boat from pier 1 (Brücke 1) at Landungsbrücken across the Elbe. It runs from 90 minutes before until one hour after the performance. More under Plan your visit.
When do doors open? +
90 minutes before the start, at all three theatres. Allow time for the security check at the entrance.
What can I bring into the theatre? +
No large bags, suitcases, backpacks, laptops or professional cameras. Bags are checked at the entrance, including for food and drink. More under Plan your visit.
Shows
How long are the shows? +
About 2 hours 50 minutes including an interval for The Lion King and MJ, about 2 hours 40 minutes for Back to the Future.
What language are the shows sung in? +
The Lion King and Back to the Future in German, MJ in the original English. In Back to the Future, “The Power of Love” and “Back in Time” stay in English.
What age are the shows suitable for? +
The Lion King and Back to the Future from 6, MJ from 8, as recommended by Stage Entertainment. Children under 4 are not admitted to Back to the Future. More under Plan your visit.
How long is Back to the Future still running? +
Until February 2027. You find dates until then on the Back to the Future page.
